HOW TO GROW
Prepare the Tray: Fill a shallow container with pre-moistened seed-starting mix.
Surface Sow: Distribute seeds thinly without covering them with soil.
Maintain Moisture: Mist gently to prevent seeds from washing away. Keep the surface from drying out.
Grow On: Provide bright, protected conditions and transplant seedlings when large enough to handle.
Acclimate Gradually: Harden off young plants before planting outside after frost risk has passed.
GARDEN & PATIO IDEAS
Sheltered Borders: Create a leafy focal point with space for mature growth.
Cottage Gardens: Combine with contrasting foliage and lower-growing flowers.
Patio Containers: Grow suitable plants in roomy pots with drainage holes; long-term suitability depends on mature size.
CARE & SEED VARIATION
Maintain consistent moisture and check container plants frequently during warm weather.
The lime-green appearance shown may reflect a particular cultivar or flowering stage. It should not be treated as a permanent color or a trait that will reliably reproduce from seed.
Many bigleaf hydrangeas flower on old wood. Avoid routine late-winter cutting back and match pruning to the confirmed plant’s flowering habit.
Seed-grown plants may differ from the photos in flower color, shape, density, and overall size.
