HOW TO GROW
Prepare the Tray: Fill a shallow container with pre-moistened seed-starting mix.
Surface Sow: Scatter seeds thinly without covering them with soil.
Water Gently: Mist carefully to avoid displacing seeds. Keep the surface from drying out.
Grow On: Provide bright, protected conditions and transplant seedlings when large enough to handle.
Harden Off: Gradually introduce young plants to outdoor conditions before planting out after frost risk has passed.
GARDEN & PATIO IDEAS
Cottage Borders: Combine with contrasting foliage for a layered planting scheme.
Sheltered Walkways: Position shrubs where their flowers can be enjoyed, allowing room for mature growth.
Patio Containers: Use generously sized pots with drainage holes and repot as plants develop.
CARE & COLOR VARIATION
Keep soil consistently moist and check container plants regularly during warm weather. Many bigleaf hydrangeas bloom on old wood, so pruning should match the plant’s flowering habit.
Flower color depends on genetics, flower age, and growing conditions. Soil pH and available aluminum can influence pink, purple, and blue coloration. Pale green flowers may represent a developmental stage rather than a separate permanent color.
Mixed colors does not guarantee every pictured shade, equal color proportions, or multiple colors on a single plant. Seed-grown plants may differ from the photos in flower form and mature size.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Mixed-assortment Bigleaf Hydrangea seeds in the quantity selected at purchase. Individual flower colors cannot be selected. Seeds only; live plants, containers, and accessories are not included.
